Is it just me or does that Yellowcard song seem diferent in terms of how they usually sounded before? Not a bad thing, I actually really like the song but the first time I heard it I didn’t even realize it was them

I can’t say, as I never really listened to their music before this song.

And to be fair, I was only familiar with their radio songs before so I might not have the entire context of their catalog

I’ve listened to quite a few Yellowcard songs. While not all of their tracks sound like Better Days, they have released similar ones before.

Sublime‘s “Ensenada” is a decent song and, as such, I think deserves to remain on top.
I listened to some of Alabama Shakes’ music before and featured them a couple of times on my blog. I generally like what I’ve heard, and their recent single “Another Life”, which I completely missed, isn’t bad either. I wonder whether we’ll also see another album from them. It’s been 10 years since their last one, “Sound & Color.” I assume part of the explanation is Brittany Howard’s solo career and the two albums she has put out under her name since “Sound & Color.”
Last but not least, I noticed Nekko Case ‘s “Wreck” on your chart – good song! I’ve yet to check out her most recent album “Neon Grey Midnight Green,” her first in seven years!

Yes, Alabama Shakes went on hiatus for a while when Howard embarked on her solo career.

I think out of your charts I like Lord Huron and sombr (12 to 12) most.
As I so often said before, you make me discover songs and artists that aren’t well-known over here. And I appreciate that a lot.
Thank you for the work you put into this weekly. I know it is not easy to keep going and staying this consistent. But you are doing a great job. Thank you for the music .

Those are both great songs. sombr is incredibly talented and I’m a big fan, and I also love Lord Huron’s music. And I appreciate your kind words and acknowledgement of my efforts to expose my readers to new music (though I know in actuality I’m only scratching the surface).
