Not a lot of changes on this week’s Top 30. twenty øne piløts hold the top spot for a second week with “Saturday”, while Willow Smith’s rousing kiss-off anthem “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l”, closes in at #2 and Lord Huron’s “Mine Forever” climbs two spots to #3. Two songs enter the top 10: “Gang of Youth’s “the angel of 8th ave.” and Cannons’ “Bad Dream”. The lone debut track this week is “Bitter Taste”, a comeback of sorts for 65-year-old Billy Idol. It’s good to have him back on one of my music lists after a long absence. The autobiographical song addresses his near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1990, in which he nearly lost his right leg.

Lord Huron remains a favorite. Their sound is just amazing!
Also, I had completely missed Billy Idol’s new EP. The lead single isn’t bad. I like some of his ’80s songs like “Hot in the City”, “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell”, “Eyes Without a Face”…Well, now that I list these tunes, I guess I dig a good deal of his ’80s output. I see he still has Steve Stevens. That guy is a beast of a guitarist!

Yes, I love Lord Huron’s music too, and Billy Idol’s a long-time favorite. And thanks for the follow on Twitter!

I’ve been on Twitter for a long time and finally decided to establish a music-related handle – should have done this from the beginning rather than mixing up with other stuff!

I got on Twitter in 2014, but didn’t know what to do with it until I started my blog a year later, at which time I figured Twitter could be useful to help promote it. Turns out it was, up to a point. I also tweet about my left-wing political leanings, which I realize 99% of my Twitter followers are not interested in at all, or else wish to steer clear of politics. I’ve thought about creating a separate Twitter page for my political rants, but don’t have the energy to manage two accounts.

I hear you about your concern to manage two accounts. It remains to be seen whether I can keep up with it!

Recently, someone shared a set of Billy Idol live. And I have to say, he’s still got it.
