On-Demand Music Content May Actually Save the U.S. Recording Industry

Interesting article and I am certainly behind the times. I for one liked to go to stores like Best Buy and pick up a cd. Guess I need to get into the 21st century and start downloading them to a device!

I’m happy to see this, but would certainly hope that some of these revenues go to the artists, and not just the “recording industry”. I don’t download a lot of streaming content, except maybe podcasts, and only buy music that I think I’ll like forever (my most recent purchase was Adele’s “25” album). I still have old vinyl, but no way to play it anymore!

I still have my “old” vinyl from the 70’s and 80’s. I also still have my “old” Technics turntable to spin them on. I don’t know it that makes me an old fart or a new age deejay.
